Offshore Trenching

Overview

Pipelines transporting oil and gas, water and sewerage, and cables for telecommunications and, increasingly, renewable energy are trenched into the seabed; sometimes in coastal shallow water, sometimes offshore in deep water.

It is essential in all of this to protect pipes and cables from potential damage, to ensure continual flow through insulation, and of course to ensure that any trenching carried out can accommodate seabed installation requirements in the future.

Mastenbroek expertise

Our wide experience of land-based trenching encompasses many types of soil and rock, in dry and saturated ground. This has led to us developing a comprehensive range of cutting technology solutions, enabling the best fit to be employed for offshore seabed trenching or intertidal shore landings.
